Having a eleven years son makes me think about the new phase I will be going through: being the mother of an adolescence. There are already a few sign of body changes like hair and blackheads on his nose. I am already thinking about searching for blackhead treatments and he only is eleven years, what will I be doing when he is thirteen?

If you have two kids at home like me you perfectly know that you have to keep them entertained otherwise they get bored, irritated and it’s difficult to deal with. I knew I was going to be at home the whole Summer so I took advantage of having an Intex pool in the backyard to keep the kids busy.

Having a pool is a great add on to the summer activities, and the kids end up making up other activities related to the pool that are done near the pool.

However the pool is not the only solution. For those looking for alternative activities that can be done in the backyard The Outdoor Toy Company has other ideas for you depending on the space you have available. Trampolines can be very entertaining as well as Garden Swings, Sand Pits, Seesaws or Bikes.

We have a Garden Swing in the garden but my kids don’t use it so, take into consideration the children’s age when buying the outdoor toys.

Keep in mind that every time your kids are outside they need to wear a hat and sun protector to prevent insulation and sun burns.

One thing I find really necessary to have in the garden during Summer is a pool. Although most people think that a pool costs a lot of money, some are really affordable.

I have an Intex Easy Set Pool for my kids in the backyard and they spend most of the time going in and out, allowing me to do other things at home.

Right now I have five kids in the pool, two teenager boys and three six years old girls. The teenagers are jumping into the pool, splashing the water out. Maybe this is a great way for them to get rid of blackheads that are starting to appear on their face due to the adolescence.

It’s great to have kids around enjoying the pool and each other but…it’s so much work for me, so much noise, I end up the day really tired.

But today, I was in the pool in the morning and in the afternoon while we were the three of us alone.
