Having a eleven years son makes me think about the new phase I will be going through: being the mother of an adolescence. There are already a few sign of body changes like hair and blackheads on his nose. I am already thinking about searching for blackhead treatments and he only is eleven years, what will I be doing when he is thirteen?

I am already trying to educate myself so I start looking for some book about adolescence. Here is one of those I found.

Product Description

Imagine life without drama, meltdowns, and power struggles
From celebrity parents to everyday moms and pops, single parents to grandparents, most of us know what to do when our kids behave. But let’s face it: family life can get downright crazy, and it’s at those moments that we most need to keep our cool.

Family therapist Susan Stiffelman has shown thousands of parents how to be the cool, confident “Captain of the ship” in their children’s lives. Based on her successful practice and packed with real-life stories, Susan shares proven strategies and crystal clear insights to motivate kids to cooperate and connect. Parenting without Power Struggles is an extraordinary guidebook for transforming your day-to-day parenting life.

You’ll discover how to:
• Transform frustration and aggression into adaptation and cooperation
• Keep your cool when your kids push your buttons, talk back or refuse to “play nice”
• Nourish deep attachment with young and older kids
• Help your ADD’ish child survive and thrive, even if you’re ADD’ish yourself
• Inoculate your kids from negative thinking and peer pressure that lead to anger, anxiety, depression, or behavior issues
• Help children manage the emotional challenges of divorce

I think this will be an excellent book for me to start learning teen stuff.

Younger Next Year: Live Strong, Fit, and Sexy – Until You’re 80 and Beyond is a book that most men will like.

Men are (almost) always obsessed with their body, their muscles, their image that’s why, sometimes when I go to a medical store I hear a man asking: “Can you recommend me the best vitamins for men? I want to get fit and lose some weight.”

So this book explains men what they can do to keep their body in shape.
Of all the anti-aging books I’ve seen, this is one of most laid back and entertaining. It’s written by two guys. Harry, the doctor, covers the science aspects of aging, while the other guy, Chris, talks about applying the info.

The book is centered around “Harry’s Rules.” These are seven rules for the reader to follow. They include such things as “Quit eating crap” or “Exercise six days a week for the rest of your life.” While they might seem to be basic pieces of information, they are sound advice and have some science behind them.

All-in-all, I found this to be a very informative and amusing book and I’d recommend it to anyone who is looking for a book on aging. The realistic key here is not to go into things thinking you’re going to STOP the aging process, rather think of SLOWING DOWN the aging process.

Then you should have the book How to Cook Everything Vegetarian: Simple Meatless Recipes for Great Food. Here is a sneak pick.

Spinach with Chiles

4 servings
Time: 20 minutes

A simple, flavorful preparation that can be cooked slowly or quickly, with or without liquid (see the variation).

Ingredients
2 tablespoons peanut or neutral oil, like grapeseed or corn
2 dried red chiles, or to taste
5 cloves garlic, peeled, or to taste
1 pound spinach, well washed, large stems removed
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Other vegetables you can use: almost any greens, chopped, though most will take a little longer to cook.

Instructions
1. Put the oil in a large skillet or casserole over medium heat. When hot, add the chiles and garlic and cook until they sizzle, just 30 seconds or so.

2. Raise the heat to medium-high, then stir in the spinach and about 1/4 cup water (or stock). Cook, stirring occasionally, until the spinach wilts and is tender, about 10 minutes. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and serve hot or warm.

What do you think? Tasty right? With a recipe like this who needs to buy the best fat burner supplements? But there is more. Check the following variations.

Variations
Spinach with Chiles and Coconut Milk: Like spicy, vegan creamed spinach, nice with a teaspoon of curry powder, added with the chiles and garlic: Step 1 remains the same. In Step 2, use 1 cup coconut milk in place of the water. Cook slowly for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the spinach is very soft and tender and the liquid almost evaporated.

One of the things I regret not doing anymore is reading a book before going to sleep. Since I started being online most of my free time, I just don’t feel like grabbing a book and read. I love reading but it seems I always have something to check online.

The last book I read was Angels & Demons from Dan Brown. I remember so well because it was an excellent book, one of those we just wake up at 4 am just to read a few more pages. I love suspense and a book can give us something a book can’t: details. Now, how can we tell that a particular book will have a good story? You can read the summary of the story but sometimes it isn’t enough.

Most people like to take a sneak peak to some pages of the book to confirm if it seems an interesting book to read. If you are on of those people I have the right website for you.

Useful Stuff wants to let you know about I Love Reading website. It is a huge website where you will dive into a ocean of book. One of the features is that you can read an extract of the featured books. You can even download the extract, print it and read it when you feel like.

There are so many wonderful features that I can number them all here but here are a few more:

Email Newsletters about newly published books in your favourite categories

Free Opening Extracts so you can browse each book

Reviews by book expert Sarah Broadhurst

Like-for-Like recommendations for discovering new authors

At least a 25% discount on every book

Compare Book Prices to find the cheapest place to buy

For book lovers this website is the book paradise.

Anyone can have a tattoo without looking “wrong”. Whether we wear Fendi or Zara clothes we always look great with a tattoo.

I found this book in Amazon and it caught my eye because of the tattoo mention. I’m sure this book is interesting…it has a dragon tattoo in it.

Amazon Best of the Month, September 2008: Once you start The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, there’s no turning back. This debut thriller–the first in a trilogy from the late Stieg Larsson–is a serious page-turner rivaling the best of Charlie Huston and Michael Connelly. Mikael Blomkvist, a once-respected financial journalist, watches his professional life rapidly crumble around him. Prospects appear bleak until an unexpected (and unsettling) offer to resurrect his name is extended by an old-school titan of Swedish industry. The catch–and there’s always a catch–is that Blomkvist must first spend a year researching a mysterious disappearance that has remained unsolved for nearly four decades. With few other options, he accepts and enlists the help of investigator Lisbeth Salander, a misunderstood genius with a cache of authority issues. Little is as it seems in Larsson’s novel, but there is at least one constant: you really don’t want to mess with the girl with the dragon tattoo. –Dave Callanan

This book contains descriptions of sixty board games, drawn from an immense range of history – from 3000 BC through to the turn of the nineteenth century. Accounts of these games have been gleaned from archaeological reports, traveler’s tales, anthropological studies and foreign-language accounts of games, translated into English for the first time.

Using the detailed text and fifty-nine diagrams it is possible for the reader to construct their own boards and pieces and enjoy hours of play.

Perfect for toy and game collectors, this book can also bring something different to family occasions – instead of the usual board games, why not play a number game that was once popular among the intelligentsia of the middle ages?
