Useful Stuff About Traveling

As we grow old a lot of the things we did in the past get a little blurry. Usually we never forget the bad things but some of the good ones just seem to slightly vanish. Sometimes bad memories bring us good memories, an example of that is while my husband was serving duty on the Air Force for 22 long months. It was not an easy time but one of the things I really recall is the coal portrait done by a soldier. My husband showed him a photo of both of us and he made a beautiful coal portrait, a very close image of our photo. Ironically we never got it framed and we keep it neatly packed.

Although we don’t have photos of us as a couple we do have a wall with my kids photos. One of these days I was looking at them and I remembered the coal portrait and I said to myself: I have to do the same with my kids however I would like to use some technology. You Are Art has a wide variety of portraits and photo canvas and, although I adore the photo mosaic, I really am a big fan of the graphic and airbrush portrait.

Now, the difficult part is: decide which one I like the most. Tough job.

A friend sent me this photo on a funny images email and I really found it very interesting.

Who is going to use these shoes? I mean, rocawear jeans are comfortable, adidas sneakers are comfortable but these shoes for sure they aren’t. Well, at least that’s my opinion. I can’t use this type of shoes because I have back problems so, I would never look for them while shopping.

I’m been having a dilemma lately. I always used compact headphones. They are easy to use, they are comfortable, sound is perfect however I have a little problem. Usually I watch movies on my laptop in bed and turned to the left side, meaning my left ear is against the pillow. This really is kind of uncomfortable because the pillow applies pressure on the headphone and it hurts my ear.

Recently I read some headphone reviews and I realized that earbud headphones would be much more comfortable once they enter in the ear and would not interfere with my pillow. Once I also attend several webinars a month, earbud headphones are much more comfortable as discreet.

So, I bought one and they fit just fine on my ears, the problem is that after a while or when I take them off my ears hurt so badly. I wonder if there are other models that can adjust to my ears because I see people with their iPod and earbud headphones and they don’t fall neither I think people are in pain.

Well, I have to try another type of headphones, I just hope I can find ones that fits my ears and are noise-canceling headphones so I can be able to “sound off” my kids when I’m attending a webinar.

The Internet is amazing. There are so many things we can do online without having to leave the comfort of our home.

I really regret not having a MBA. I didn’t get one before I started working and now I really feel I don’t have the patience to go back to school. I’ve been doing some free e-courses on web design because I really want to learn to code complete websites and one of these days I came across a word that really got my attention: Knewton. Who doesn’t want to know tons of things?

I took a look at the site and it really caught my eye. One of the courses available is gmat prep. Gmat stands for Graduate Management Admissions Test and it’s used to prepare students to have the required skills to apply for a MBA. This course is done online, at our pace, lessons can be taken on live chat but also on demand to allow those with little time to have access to them when they can. The best teachers are available to teach us how to succeed and improve our skills.

I must confess that I was really interested (although the LSAT and SAT courses are also available) on the gmat preparation and the conditions offered. We can have a free trial and that’s what I intend to do in the next couple of days.

This is what I call “Useful Stuff”. This could be so handy for us here at home.

We have two floor and the game console and computers are upstairs so, when we want something from the fridge we have to go downstairs to the kitchen.  Having a small fridge upstairs would be so nice.
