Almost every month I receive credit cards and insurance marketing on the mail. Usually I open the letters and they go directly to the recycle bin, but I’m glad last month I kept the one regarding insurance.

It was a brochure related to the life insurance we must have throughout our house loan. I went to the bank and they gave me a cheaper insurance than the one I have now.

Guess what, I talked to my insurance company and they lowered my price. This is awesome because I’m going to save some money but it also is a little sad that they waited until I complaint to lower my price. No matter what, we are always being robbed in some way.

Weight loss fever is here. Hot and sunny days are taking people to the pharmacies and health shops to buy diet pills. Autumn, Summer and part of Spring is to eat everything people want, now they just want to lose weight the fastest as they can. This is nuts. People should have a healthy diet all over the year not just near Summer.

Some diet pills have a lot of side effects so my opinion is that people should be more careful when they choose the first ones they hear about. Adipex for instance, it works for a short period of time than it stops working. In fact adipex side effects are much worse than the good it causes.

If you have kids, be aware of the example you are giving to them. Showing them that healthy food is the best solution for a healthy life is much better than telling them: well, you can eat what you want and then, when you want to lose weight just take some pills and you will be fine.

We are our kids role model, please show them you are a role model to follow.

I believe this financial crisis that has reached us is putting everyone under a huge amount of stress. Lately a lot of people has been dying of heart attacks, lung embolism, brain embolism, etc.. One minute people are happily alive, talking and drinking, the other minute they just drop dead on the floor. What is going on?

Some people say it’s the junk food we eat, other says that it’s our sedentary lifestyle and stressful jobs. You know what: I’m afraid to get sick. If “normal” workers are all stressed out, imagine doctors and nurses. I’m sure they are feeling the same way. Medical negligence happens from time to time, we know that because on the News we hear about Louisiana Jones Act against doctors and other personal lawsuits related to fatal tragedies that could be avoid if the doctors where not so stressed out.

I’m not sure what is going to happen in a few years. Retirement is something from the past, most people work till they die, exhausted from so many hard years. Well, the government says people have to be productive and minimum retirement age extended so…we will be working until we die. Is this fair? When will we LIVE?

I have a library at home or you can call it the reading room where all my books since little girl are. I was an avid reader since early age. I have juvenile complete collections and some I bought or were offered to me throughout my life.

But guess what, internet took away my reading pleasure, I mean I still love to read but, internet takes all my free time away and I end up not reading.

I confess that in the last three years (since I got more active online) I have not read a single book. I get lost among all those webinars, free reports, blueprints and textbooks. I find all the information I need online but I miss reading a good romance, a good thriller. I find books much more appealing than movies and I used to like to read the book and then watch the movie, but right now, I have no time.

I wish my kids will have the same pleasure in reading like I have but I think computers, television and video games are taking that away from them. How bother reading a book when all the information they seek is online? That’s our kid’s mentality nowadays.

With the busy life we have nowadays we end up not eating properly and usually we take multiple vitamins supplements to cover the lack of vitamins and minerals we should take on a daily basis.

But instead of taking artificial supplements we can eat real food even with a busy life. Fruit, it’s easy to take with us and they are full of vitamins. Nuts, cereals, carrots, etc. they are all easy to take to the office and can be eaten easily. If we eat enough fruit and vegetables we don’t need supplements.
